• Nick, formerly Managing Director of Northern Trust’s Guernsey banking business, brings more than 25 years of senior banking experience to the Bank Aston senior team.

• He is rejoining the bank having supported with its licensing application throughout 2024, expanding a “top-class” C-Suite.

Bank Aston, part of the Aston Group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Nick Leale as Chief Operating Officer (COO).

A Guernsey resident, Nick brings over 25 years of senior banking leadership experience to the role and will be responsible for overseeing the bank's operational strategy, business support functions, and the continued development of its operating model. Nick rejoins the Bank, having supported with their licensing application throughout 2024.

Nick has a strong track record of delivering major transformation programmes, including operating model restructuring, infrastructure migration, digitisation, regulatory compliance enhancement and the implementation of scalable governance frameworks. Earlier in his career, he drove significant growth in revenues across the full suite of banking solutions, while also leading the development of new client propositions and expanding of business capabilities across jurisdictions.
