Starting Guernsey’s first locally approved bank in over 30 years is more than a milestone – it's a statement of confidence in the island’s future.

For an Island that has done so much for me personally, it’s a privilege to be part of this next chapter for Guernsey’s financial services industry, working alongside the business community, regulators, and industry stakeholders to help reposition the island on the international stage as open, competitive, and forward-looking.

From the outset, we have been clear that this bank is not about us as individuals – it's about serving the ecosystem of professional services firms, fiduciaries, family offices, and funds that underpin Guernsey’s economic success.

The support from the Guernsey Financial Services Commission has been instrumental in making this a reality.

Their approach has been rigorous but pragmatic, encouraging innovation while ensuring that the highest standards of governance, risk management, and resilience are embedded from day one.

This reflects Guernsey’s strength as a jurisdiction: a collaborative regulatory culture that welcomes new entrants who bring value to the island’s proposition.

We have also been overwhelmed by the encouragement from local businesses, professional networks, and the broader community – a reminder that social capital is one of Guernsey’s most powerful assets.

On a personal note, moving to Guernsey two years ago to set up the island’s first regulated money service business was a leap of faith. But from the very first day, the island made it feel like home – professionally and personally.

That sense of community, combined with the opportunity to build something that supports the financial services sector’s evolution, is what drives me, my co-founder James and our team.
